In the heart of Minas Gerais, with its rolling mountains, lakes and rich farmland lies the well- known coffee growing region of Sul de Minas. The great grandfather of the current owners established their first plantation, Fazenda Lagoa, about 100 years ago. The original farmhouse still stands with its wide verandah and courtyard surrounded by Jabuticaba fruit trees.

Here, in the slopes of Serra do Pau D'Alho, coffee is produced at altitudes ranging from 900 to 1100 meters. Today Fazenda Lagoa has 210 hectares in coffee, producing average of 6.000 bags a year, and 600 hectares of preserved forest attracting conservationists from all over the world to study its hundreds of different bird species. The Vieira family is equally concerned with quality and in bridging the gap between the consumer and the producer to assure the sustainable quality demanded in the Specialty market. They are keen on developing long term relationships with their clients to guarantee the necessary consistency of supply.
