This Microlot produced in the Guji region is an example of Ethiopian coffee at its best. A floral coffee, sweet and complex, with notes of fig, apricot, and brown sugar. Guji coffee has been receiving a lot of attention from the specialty coffee world in the past several years. Guji refers to an administrative zone that borders the Gedeo Zone (where Yirgacheffe is located). Kercha is the district (Woreda) were this coffee is grown under regional shade trees like Kerero, Tikur Enchet, Besena, and Berbera on fertile red clay soil.
